Protocol on transport communication between Uzbekistan, Belarus comes into force

The protocol on introducing amendments and addenda to the Agreement between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Belarus on international road transport signed on September 13, 2018 in Tashkent entered into force on July 30, 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The protocol itself was signed on December 22, 1994.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the protocol was developed in order to make changes and additions to the said Agreement, providing for the possibility of exchanging permission forms on a parity basis without paying tolls, in excess of parity - with paying tolls.

The protocol contributes to the further deepening of cooperation in the field of transport, will open up new prospects for expanding trade and economic relations between the two states and create conditions for increasing the participation of Uzbek carriers in export-import cargo transportation to / from the European Union in transit through Belarus on the basis of mutual benefit.
