Uzbekistan, Germany plan to open flights on new routes

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany Nabijon Kasimov, met in Berlin with the Secretary of State for Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany Guido Beermann, and discussed Uzbek-German cooperation in the development of transport infrastructure in the field of air, rail and road communications, Trend reports with reference to the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed the opening of additional flights between Uzbekistan and Germany on new routes taking into consideration the significant growth in the flow of tourists.

The effective partnerships with Deutsche Bahn, Roland Berger, Obermeyer, GP Pappenburg, Wirtgen International GmbH and other German companies were particularly noted.

In the context of strengthening cooperation in the field of railway transport, it was noted that on the basis of an agreement reached between Uzbekistan Railways JSC and Deutsche Bahn AG, German experts will advise Uzbek partners on improving the railway infrastructure of Uzbekistan.

The meeting also emphasized the interest in actively cooperating in the modernization of road infrastructure using the best German experience.

As a result, an agreement was reached to continue bilateral consultations on a regular basis.
