Egyptian company to launch enterprise in Uzbek Fergana region

Egyptian company Kabo began work on launching a new fish-breeding enterprise in the Kuva district of the Fergana region, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

The Fergana region administration signed an agreement and memorandum with Kabo during the International Investment Forum on August 7-8 in Fergana.

At the first stage of this project, it is planned to attract $2 million of direct investments, at the next stage - $ 5 million.

The company will be engaged in the cultivation, processing and export of fish.

In general, this year Kabo is going to provide Uzbekistan with some $100 million worth of investments.

The International Investment Forum was attended by large investors from more than twenty countries, such as South Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, India, Iran, Russia, Turkey, Belarus, representatives of the diplomatic corps and domestic entrepreneurs.

Also, a roadmap has been developed to attract $1 billion worth of direct investment to the region this year.
