Georgia's foreign trade decreases

The foreign trade turnover of goods in Georgia (excluding undeclared trade) amounted to $7.06 million in January-July 2019, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

This figure is 0.2 percent less than for the same period last year.

In the reporting period, exports from Georgia amounted to $2.10 million, which is 12.3 percent higher than for the same period in 2018. Imports amounted to $4.96 million, which is a decrease by 4.7 percent compared to 1H2018.

According to the statistics, in January-July 2019, the negative trade balance amounted to $2.86 million and reached 40.5 percent of the foreign trade turnover.
