By Huseyn Hasanov – Trend:

Belarus’ Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) and Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) open joint-stock companies held business negotiations with their partners in Turkmenistan, Trend reports referring to the Belarusian Embassy in Ashgabat.

The meetings were attended by MAZ Director General Valery Ivankovich and MTZ Director General Vitaly Vovk.

The Belarusian equipment was highly appreciated and numerous positive reviews were made by specialists and consumers who have been using it for many decades in the difficult climatic conditions of Turkmenistan, said the statement.

Representatives of the Belarusian delegation noted "the historically established strong Belarusian-Turkmen economic ties and expressed the mutual desire of the parties to further strengthen and develop them."

Belarus mainly supplies trucks, special vehicles, tractors, road-building machinery, pharmaceuticals, woodworking and agricultural products to Turkmenistan. It was earlier reported that from 2009 to 2017, about 6,000 MTZ tractors and over 10,000 MAZ trucks were delivered to Turkmenistan.
