One of the largest South Korean companies, Korea Importers Association, has expressed interest in cooperation with Georgia, said Mikhail Khidureli, Head of the “Produce in Georgia” agency, Trend reports citing bm.ge.

According to him, a large delegation will arrive in Georgia at the end of September to discuss cooperation prospects.

“This will be the largest business delegation from South Korea. Their interest arose after export of food and beverages from Georgia to Korea was initiated. Their area of interest is food, drinks and, of course, the wine industry,” said Mikhail Khidureli.

In his words, charter flights from Korea are also important for the development of tourism development between the two countries.

The Produce in Georgia program was created in the summer of 2014 to stimulate local production. It offers two main incentives including financial resources and infrastructure. In April 2017, an agency of the same name was created, which combined all state programs aimed at promoting the business sector and economic development of the country.
