Iran to commission 19 industrial and manufacturing enterprises in Hormozgan Province

Some 19 industrial and manufacturing facilities (with 2.16 trillion rials (app. $51.4 million) of investment) will be commissioned during the Iran Government Week (August 24-30) in Iran’s Hormozgan Province, Managing Director of Hormozgan Industrial Estates Corporation (subordinate to Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization) Amir Amirizad told journalists, Trend reports.

According to him, the commissioning of three landscaping projects (with 32.8 billion rials (app. $782,000) of investment) will provide 115 people with jobs.

Amirizad added that the commissioning of 10 production projects (with 1.81 trillion rials (app. $43.1 million) of investment) will provide 196 people with jobs.

"Six infrastructure construction projects will be commissioned with 32 billion rials (app. $761,000) of investment," he said.

Amirizad noted that there are 16 industrial parks and stations operating in Hormozgan Province, with six more being under construction.

On August 30, 1981, Iranian President Mohammad-Ali Rajai and Prime Minister Mohammad-Javad Bahonar, along with a number of other government officials, were killed as a result of a terrorist bombing in the Prime Minister's office. The Iranian government instated August 24-30 as the Iran Government Week in commemoration of the event.
