Agreement for greenhouses construction signed in Kazakhstan

Akimat (administrative center) of Turkestan region, KAZAKH INVEST company, ECOCULTURE agricultural holding, Green Land Alatau company and Eurasian Development Bank signed an investment agreement in Kazakhstan’s Turkestan region, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the akimat.

The agreement oversees the construction of a greenhouses complex worth $1.1 billion on the territory of 50 ha in region’s Keles district.

On May 17, 2019, CEO of ECOCULTURE agricultural holding Alexander Rudakov and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin have already signed a corresponding memorandum. The projects of the greenhouses mega complex will be implemented in cooperation with company’s partner in Kazakhstan Green Land Alatau.

The regional energy department and housing and utilities department have conducted calculations for construction of necessary infrastructure in the selected area.

“The construction of the complex will be implemented stage by stage. The complex will be equipped with computerized maintenance management system of microclimate. Some 50,000 tons of product are to be cultivated there a year,” the report said.
