Over 2,600 tons of imported products get standardization certificates in Iran

As many as 2,627 tons of imported products received certificates of conformity with national standards in Astara district of Iran’s Gilan province in the fifth month (July 23 - August 22) of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), said Shahrokh Jafari, director of the Astara Standardization Department in Gilan, Trend reports via IRNA.

He said that the value of these products amounts to 68.4 billion rials (about $1.62 million).

“In the fifth month, 60 tons of raisins and dates intended for export received the certificates,” he said.

The cost of products intended for export is 7.01 billion rials (about $167,000), he noted. He added that Iran’s Astara district is located along the border with Azerbaijan.
