Russian Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies will help introduce a unified system for marking goods in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.

As reported, 50 percent in the company belongs to the Russian USM Holdings, and the state corporations Rostec and Almaz Capital hold 25 percent each.

The State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan and the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation providing for the consolidation of efforts in the implementation of projects to introduce digital marking and traceability of certain types of goods in Uzbekistan.

It is planned that in September this year, the country will begin the implementation of a pilot project for the phased labeling for local manufacturers and importers. It will be implemented by CRPT TURON company, the founder of which is the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies.

The pilot's results are planned to be submitted to the government by December 31, 2019, and by March 31, 2020 proposals for improving the system are to be prepared.

At the first stage, cigarettes, beer in plastic and glass containers, as well as in barrels, and other alcohol products will be labeled.
