Estonian businessmen to implement a number of projects in Kazakhstan

Estonian investors are interested in launching the assembling of trailers for tractors which are used for transport of agriculture and construction cargo in Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the West Kazakhstan region’s akimat (administrative center).

This became known during the meeting between Head of the Region Ghali Jesqalijew and the delegation from Estonia headed by Ambassador of Estonia to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan Heiti Mäemees, during which the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects of region’s development and investments attraction.

Mäemees has expressed the readiness of Estonian investors to participate in investments projects of the region and high interest in the expansion of economic cooperation with ventures of West Kazakhstan region.

Furthermore, Estonian visitors noted their interest in mass production of trailers for tractors. They stated that currently they are in the process of searching for a partner to launch the assembling.

Members of the delegation from Estonia also talked about their intention to start the meat processing in the region and their plans to export frozen products to Europe.

In turn, the head of the region noted that there are enough ventures operating in the region that meet the requirements of the Estonian party.

Estonian businessmen are also currently looking to increase the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Europe. They noted high potential of the region, its beneficial geographical and transport and logistics placement. Estonian party proposed to use favorable investments conditions to create distribution center in the region for export of goods to Europe and vice versa, the report said.

Jesqalijew has supported all three proposals of potential investors and stated readiness to discuss the prospects of cooperation in greater detail.
