Deputy minister: Iran exports 60M tons of products in five months

Iran has exported 60 million tons of products over the first five months (March 21- August 22) of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), said Mehdi Mirashrafi, director general of the Iranian Customs Administration and Iranian deputy minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Trend reports citing ILNA.

During this period, Iran imported 14 million tons of products, he said.

Imports of essential products increased by nearly two million tons in the first five months compared to the same period last year, he noted.

“In the same period last year, 7.9 million tons of essential products were imported,” he added. “This year, 9.6 million tons of essential products were imported.”

Iran exported non-oil products worth $17.8 billion and imported non-oil products worth $17.7 billion in the five months.
