Iran is unable to use financial aid of 3 million euros allocated by other countries to flood victims in Iran, Head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Ali Asghar Peyvandi said, Trend reports referring to Tasnim news agency.
He said that these funds are on the account of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
The account of the Iranian Red Crescent Society was closed due to the US sanctions against Iran, he noted.
As a result of floods and landslides in Iran since March 18, 77 people were killed, more than 1,000 people were injured and 4 went missing.
The US imposed sanctions on Iran in November 2018.
