The State Committee of Uzbekistan for Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and the State Cadastre Goskomzemgeodezkadastr will have to complete an inventory of land across the country by the end of 2021 and create a unified electronic database for keeping its records.

It is emphasized that the owner of the land will strive to increase productivity, cultivate crops for many years only when he is fully confident in the future, said the message.

The head of state emphasized that the country needs to review legislation to ensure a transparent system of land allocation and guarantee land rights.

The meeting also noted the importance of rational use of water resources. According to the press service, billions of cubic meters of water are being sent to irrigate crops in Uzbekistan, but only 60 percent reach the fields. The rest is lost in irrigation systems and irrigation process.
