Kazakhstan to develop its trade policy in co-op with Dubai

Center for Trade Policy Development QazTrade and Dubai’s DT World company have signed a memorandum for cooperation and understanding, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan.

According to the press office, the parties agreed to exchange information and expertise on organization and optimization of procedures of foreign trade and other issues related to trade activities and which are of mutual interest.

DT World is a subsidiary company of DP World Group, which supports global trade and manages 78 terminals of sea ports, logistics parks and economic zones in 40 countries worldwide.

Furthermore, DT World is specializing on solutions and services to simplify trade procedures by using latest technologies, which allow to trade faster and more cost-efficient.

QazTrade and DT World are aiming for close cooperation, which will ensure effective development of Kazakhstan’s trade policy.

The single window of QazTrade will act as an agent between the exporter and government agencies. QazTrade will also be involved in the development of regional and cross-border trade. It is planned to create regional export centers on the basis of the social entrepreneurial companies, the activities of which will be coordinated by QazTrade.

Trade missions of Kazakhstan abroad will be ‘external offices.’ By the end of this year, Kazakhstan plans to expand its network of trade missions, which will be opened in China, Turkey, India, Iran, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Poland and the Czech Republic.
