The Sanat Choub Shomal Company, located in Gunbadkavus county of Iran’s north-eastern Golestan province, exported particle board and medium-density fiberboard (MDF) worth $850,000 during five months (March 21 - August 22), Muslim Fadayi, executive director of the company, told reporters, Trend reports.
Some 5,700 square meters of products were mainly exported to Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Iraq during the reporting period, he said.
Fadayi added that the export value will reach $1 million till the end of the sixth month (September 22).
The company produced 7,110 square meters of particle board, 4,400 square meters of melamine, and 1,500 square meters of medium-density fibreboard during five months, he added.
The value of these products is $145 billion rials (approximately $3.45 million), Fadayi said.
He said that 170 people work in the company. If the company's working capital increases up to a minimum of one trillion rials (about $23.8 million), new employees may be hired, Fadayi added.
Some 51.6 percent of the company's shares belong to the Mostazafan Foundation and the rest to the private sector, he said.
