Iran has no problem to import ATR aircraft parts, said Mahmoud Naderi, the official within the Iran Air.
"We currently have no problem regarding imports of ATR parts and the company is obligated to provide support for the purchased ATR aircrafts," said Naderi, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"The first semi heavy checks of ATR aircrafts have already started. A total of 13 ATR aircrafts are active within Iran Air fleet, the first ATR plane has been checked, while the operation to check second one has started. Eventually all 13 air crafts will be checked," he indicated.
"The semi heavy check is implemented every year. More than 3,500 individuals were active during the first check of ATR," he said.
"The check is operated by the manufacturing company’s approval, the ATR company has issued checking cards for aircrafts and all the checks will be done based on the ATR standards," he added.
"We would make sure over the availability of parts before start of checks. We would not run a check if there is lack of necessary parts. The logistics provides all the parts," he said.
"The ATR aircrafts have light check every 500 hours, where parts are being changed due to their expiration date," he added.
