Over the past two years, 295 solar water heaters have been installed in Iran’s Kermanshah province, Director General of the Kermanshah Province Natural Resources and Watershed Inshallah Koulani said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
He said that the solar water heaters have been installed in Salas-e Babajani, Javanrud and Dalaho villages of the province.
He added that 230 solar water heaters were installed in the province by the end of last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 21, 2019).
“This Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), 65 solar water heaters have been installed in the province and this process continues,” he said.
According to the estimates, these water heaters will prevent cutting down about 350 trees per year, he noted.
Iran’s Kermanshah province has 527,000 hectares of forest area and population of two million people.
