Since the beginning of this year, hazelnut production volumes in Azerbaijan amounted to more than 1,500 tons, Director of the factory Zulfugar Gurbanov told Trend.
He said that this indicator has significantly decreased compared to last year’s results.
“Last year, during the eight months, the company produced 2,800 tons of hazelnuts,” he noted. “Moreover, by the end of this year, according to our estimates, the production volumes won’t exceed 2,000 tons of hazelnuts. The decrease in production volumes compared to the results of 2018 is related to certain difficulties, in particular, to the raw materials that we receive from local producers.”
The director noted that the factory also produces hazelnut flour, which is sold in the domestic market.
The factory’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents. There is also a confirmation code #AZE 6231 120 for the export of the products to the EU countries.
Turkish equipment has been installed at the factory.
