Iran and China to expand cooperation

Iran and China plans to expand customs cooperation and facilitate trade were discussed during a meeting between Chinese Ambassador Pang Sen and Iran's Head of Customs Administration Mehdi Mirsharafi, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Iran is the biggest trade partner of China; therefore, expanding cooperation is important for China and we are making efforts to improve the ties," said the ambassador.

Mehdi Mirsharafi also noted the importance of the development of the bilateral trade relations and outlined plans, which include sharing trade information by customs, improving transportation via the Silk Road, and establishing of joint customs points.

In his words, these issues will be addressed more effectively, if meetings between officials of the two countries are held every six months.
