Licenses have been issued for the construction of two industrial parks in Iran's Qom province, Chairman of Qom Province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Mahmoud Sijani said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The construction of the parks have already started, according to the chairman.

Putting into operation these parks will create a healthy competition between public and private sector industrial parks, Sijani said.

As a result, there will be an increase in activity and investments in industrial parks, the chairman added.

Three industrial parks will be created by the end of the current Iranian year (began on March 21, 2019), Sijani added.

Sijani said that in total, five industrial parks are planned to be established in the Qom province to develop rural industry.

There are 2,300 small, medium and large industrial enterprises in the Qom province. Small and medium enterprises account for about 90% of them. More than 50,000 people work in the industrial enterprises of the province.
