Uzbekistan’s Uztextile Association hosted a meeting with a delegation of the Italian SMIT S.R.L textile equipment producing company, Trend reports citing the Association.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached on developing a strategy for the company's entering the market of Uzbekistan, which includes organization of educational centers for training domestic manufacturers, as well as introducing latest production technologies and attracting leading Italian brands.
According to the Italian side, SMIT S.R.L’s technological equipment was installed in the production capacities of companies manufacturing branded products in Uzbekistan.
SMIT S.R.L, which is a part of Italian Santex Rimar Group, has 130 years of experience in the production of textile including weaving, knitting dyeing and finishing equipment.
The company has production facilities in Italy, the Czech Republic and Egypt.
