French Idemia Identity & Security company is developing a project of road safety to be implemented in Kazakhstan’s Almaty region, a source in the company’s representative office in Kazakhstan told Trend.

Earlier in October, Philippe Martine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France in Kazakhstan, suggested a number of projects for implementation in Kazakhstan's Almaty region, one of which was project for introduction and use of MESTA FUSION systems of photo and video recordings of traffic violations developed by Idemia Identity & Security, and AlmaTech LLP companies.

According to the source in the company, the project is currently at the stage of proposal development with an idea of future submitting for a number of official reviews.

The source added that the core of the project lies in photo and video recording of traffic violations and is based on the Idemia solution.

“This is an investment project designed for several years. The goal of the project is first and foremost a reduction of deaths related to car accidents, strengthening of driving culture and, naturally, revenue to the budget from the fines,” the source.

Idemia Identity & Security is a French multinational company, which specializes on developing solutions for provision of security and identification.
