Iran to commission 3 solar panel stations in Tehran province

Three solar panel stations will be commissioned in Rey and Damavand cities of Iran’s Tehran province till the end of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2020), Jafar Mohammedjad Sigarudi, spokesman for Iran's Renewable Energy Organization, said.

“Two 10-megawatt and 2.7-megawatt solar panel stations will be commissioned in Rey city, while an 8.4-megawatt solar panel station in Damavand city,” Sigarudi added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

“In total, 1.2 trillion rials (about $28.5 million) have been allocated for these stations,” the representative of the organization said.

“A 7-megawatt solar panel station worth 5.7 million euros will be put into operation in Hamadan province,” Sigarudi said.

"At the same time, two 10-megawatt solar panels stations will be commissioned in Yazd province worth around 10-12 million euros," the representative of the organization said.

“Four solar panel stations are planned to be commissioned in Kerman province,” Sigarudi said. “Three of them will be 10 megawatt-solar panel stations while rest one – 4 megawatt-solar panel station. In total, 10-12 million euros are planned to be allocated for these projects.”

The representative of the organization said that three one-megawatt solar panel station in Isfahan province, a 10-megawatt solar panel station in Qazvin province and a 200-kilowatt hydroelectric power plant in Khuzestan province are planned to be commissioned.
