China's Xinle Electrical Appliance Company intends to start business in Georgia

Georgia is a country in which we are interested not only for products export, but also for the production, said Shin Xinkian, deputy director of China's Xinle Electrical Appliance Company, a member of the China Electronic Production Equipment Industry Association, Trend reports citing Georgian media outlets.
The deputy director made the remark after his meeting Natia Turnava, minister of economy and sustainable development of Georgia. According to Xinkian, their company is looking for ways to start a business in Georgia.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the mechanisms of support for foreign investors, including Chinese investors, in Georgia. It was emphasized that companies will begin production in Georgia and hire local residents. This will give Chinese manufacturers the opportunity to take advantage of the free trade agreements signed by Georgia with other countries, so they will be able to export their products.
For nine months of 2019, total imports to Georgia from China amounted to $647.2 million In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $125.1 million to China.
The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with China from January through September 2019 exceeded $772.3 million, which is 8.4 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
