Ganja Instrument-Making Plant, which is Azerbaijan’s biggest machine-building enterprise, is considering an opportunity to export goods to a new market, a source in the enterprise told Trend.

“The enterprise intends to supply the products to the Turkmen market,” the source added.

"The negotiations are being held with potential partners of this market,” the source said. “We plan to supply water meters and gas control points as these types of products are in the greatest demand. In accordance with our estimates, the products may be exported from 2020.”

The products of the enterprise have been exported to Georgia, Kazakhstan and Russia since early 2019.

The enterprise produced the products worth 11.2 million manat ($6.6 million) from January through September 2019.

The export volume increased up to 15 percent this year compared to last year, and the biggest share of export - up to 90 percent of all supplies - accounted for water meters.

Presently, the company produces gas pressure regulators, gas control points, LED lamps, water meters and gas pressure regulators. The plant is the biggest one in the region in the field of mechanical engineering. It is engaged in the development and production of measuring instruments, automatic and automated control systems.

The plant operates to develop and increase the level of instrumentation in Azerbaijan.
