Investments in Kazakhstan's economy reach nearly $25B

The value of investments in Kazakhstan’s fixed capital amounted to 9.7 trillion tenge ($24.9 billion) from January through October 2019, which is 8.2 percent more than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of Kazakhstan’s statistics Committee.

In its turn, value of industrial manufacturing during the reporting period was 23.8 trillion tenge (approximately $61.2 billion), which is 3.5 percent more than from January through October of last year.

Thus, manufacturing in mining and quarrying industries increased by 3.7 percent; in processing industry by 3.3 percent; in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 2.5 percent; in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities by 3.9 percent.

Furthermore, gross production output in agriculture, forestry and fisheries was 4.5 trillion tenge (approximately $11.6 billion) during the reporting period, which is 0.2 percent less than from January through October 2018.

Value of construction work in Kazakhstan during the reporting period amounted to 3.323 trillion tenge (approximately $8.5 billion), which is 12.7 percent more than during the reporting period of 2018.
