About 15% of Azerbaijani imports accounts for Russia

From January through September 2019, Azerbaijan imported goods worth $10.3 billion, Trend reports Nov. 15 referring to Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.

Some 15.5 percent of the imported products accounted for Russia, 11.6 percent for Switzerland, 11.1 percent for Turkey, 9.3 percent for China, 6.3 percent for the US, 4.9 percent for Germany, 3.8 percent for Canada, 3.5 percent for Iran, 3.3 percent for Ukraine, 2.8 percent for Australia, 2.6 percent for Italy, 1.9 percent for France, 1.7 percent for the UK, 1.6 percent for Kazakhstan. About 20 percent accounted for other countries.

Wheat imports increased by 34.2 percent compared to the same period of 2018, sugar - 39.9 percent, fresh fruit - 2.7 percent, vegetable oil - 6 percent, butter, other milk fats and pasta -13 percent, tea - 2.5 percent, poultry - 9.6 percent, potatoes - 23.9 percent, beef - 13.2 percent, fresh vegetables - 36.3 percent, cars - 1.9 times, rolled steel - by 25.6 percent, mineral fertilizers - by 47.6 percent, computers, blocks and units - by 35.5 percent, rubber tires - by 12.7 percent, furniture - by 9.6 percent, buses - by 3.4 times, household air conditioners - by 1.6 times, polyethylene - by 27.8 percent, trucks - by 3.7 times, washing machines - by 9.3 percent.

Meanwhile, imports of cigarettes decreased by 49.1 percent, pipes of ferrous metals - by 13.6 percent, ferrous metals - by 20 percent, cement and cement clinkers - by 17.8 percent, household refrigerators - by 17.1 percent, the report said.
