The cargoes worth $3.3 billion were transported by air from January through October 2019 in Azerbaijan, which is 1.72 times more compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports referring to the country's State Customs Committee.
The cargo transportation by air reached 73,000 tons from January through October 2019.
Almost 61,700 tons of cargo worth $238 million (a decrease of 0.01 percent) were exported by air.
Some 11,800 tons of cargo worth over $3 billion (an increase of 2.4 times) were imported by air during the reporting period.
In general, during the reporting period, Azerbaijan's total trade turnover amounted to $28.2 billion. The country's export reached $16.8 billion, while import amounted to almost $11.4 billion.
