Russian National Reserve Corporation, owned by businessman Alexander Lebedev, plans to create an agrology complex in Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh region in 2021, as follows from the draft resolution, Trend reports citing regulation.gov.uz Uzbekistan’s portal for discussion of draft regulatory documents.

Corresponding draft resolution published on the portal has been developed by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture.

"The proposal of Uzbekistan’s BMB Trade Group and National Reserve Corporation to establish the Uzbek-Russian joint venture BMB-NRC Agrologistics for organizing a modern agrology complex in Sharaf Rashidovsky district of the Jizzakh region was approved," the document says.

This project provides for the creation of refrigerators and free warehouses, as well as the installation of equipment for shock freezing, processing, calibration, sorting, packaging and drying of fruits and vegetables by attracting foreign direct investment of the National Reserve Corporation.

The new complex will provide a wide range of services based on the "single window" principle for exporting fresh and processed finished products to the markets of Russia and other countries. According to expectations, it will be commissioned in 2021.

The National Reserve Corporation is a Russian financial and industrial holding uniting assets of Russian businessman Alexander Lebedev. The main activities of the corporation are management of financial and industrial groups and holding companies, as well as investment activities.

According to official statistics of Uzbekistan, in 2018, the trade turnover of agricultural products and food between Uzbekistan and Russia increased by more than 20 percent and amounted to $550 million.
