Nineteen industrial and agricultural enterprises have been withdrawn from banks' ownership in Iran’s Qazvin province this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Murtaza Alihani, Director General of the Investment Support Organization of Qazvin province, said.

“These enterprises were transferred to the banks due to the debts and problems with production,” Alihani added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

The director general added that the banks owned 39 enterprises till November 21.

"The work is underway to withdraw these enterprises from the banks' ownership," Alihani said.

The director general said that 27 more enterprises were owned by other structures and the corresponding work was underway.

Alihani said that this year only two enterprises have been transferred to the relevant structures.

“The banks are not producers,” the director general added. “The bank managers must take steps to establish relations with new investors.”

There are 3,500 production facilities in 15 industrial parks in the province.
