Iranian companies intend to develop bilateral trade with Uzbekistan

A delegation of companies representing business and high-qualified professional sectors of Iran plans to visit Uzbekistan’s capital of Tashkent on December 12, 2019, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The program of the delegation’s visit to Tashkentwas was provided by Director General of International Business Development for Science and Technology of Iran Ruhollah Estiri.

The meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan, which will be held on December 12 at the International Hotel Tashkent, aims at developing relations between the two countries.

At this meeting, government officials and the private sector of the two countries will hold talks on a business environment and the ways to remove obstacles to the development of bilateral trade.

At present, both countries have great potential for expanding mutual cooperation, given the 60 percent increase in trade turnover over the past few years, creation of more than 100 factories in Uzbekistan with the participation of Iranian investments, as well as the cultural proximity.

The expansion of technological exchange between the two countries will contribute to the development of science in both countries and provide appropriate opportunities for the development of high-quality products in various fields.

In this regard, Estiri plans to set the stage for promoting potential technologies in Uzbekistan and expanding technological cooperation between the two countries, inviting 11 high-tech companies in various fields of activity to the meeting of the joint commission on economic cooperation.

Iranian companies include enterprises with knowledge of modern materials, biotechnology, agriculture and engineering, pharmaceutical and medical equipment, information technology, technical and engineering services, and finance.

The companies include Parsa Polymer Sharif and Baspar Gostar Arya from the production of modern materials sector. These companies produce a wide range of plastic materials for use in the packaging industry, transportation, household appliances, construction products (such as pipes, profiles, foils, wires and cables), and they also produce environmentally friendly plastic materials and thermoplastic adhesives.

Khazar Electric and Nahal Gostar Royan represent the agriculture sector. Khazar Electric has patented dozens of inventions and obtained an international license to export various products to different countries of the world, such as products for the processing industry, modern poultry farming, utilization, processing of infectious waste, as well as machines for dehydrating fruits and rice.

Thanks to the annual production capacity of 70 million seedlings and 2 million seedlings, Nahal Gostar Royan acquired practical skills in the production of seedlings for tissue cultures and fruit seedlings. The main activities of this company are the mechanized and industrial development of seedlings of vegetables, fruits, ornamental and medicinal plants, as well as providing advice to 3800 farmers in various areas of Iran.

The research and development department of Zarrin Gostar Bastan of the Middle East, which will represent the chemical industry, was able to standardize the processing and concentration of copper oxide ores by flotation using a chemical known as potassium octyl hydroxam. The products of the Iranian company will be available for use and functional tests in the production of copper ores in Uzbekistan, including for the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, as well as for the development of scientific and technical cooperation with other companies in Uzbekistan.

The pharmaceutical field and medical equipment will be represented by Arya Teb Firouz and Arman Zist Pharmed. Arya Teb Firouz is the first manufacturer of hemodialysis machines in the Middle East; products are well sold in neighboring regions of Iran and used for dialysis patients. Arman Zist Pharmed company produces high-tech drugs for the prevention and treatment of arthritis, hair growth products, tranquilizers and others.

The event will also be attended by Reyton and Fan Gostar, which represent IT companies, as well as by companies providing technical and engineering services, and two financial and investment companies involved in biotechnology and the transfer of data on high-tech products. It is expected that the meeting will open up great opportunities for companies of the two countries.
