Yilin Bagu Group intends to build a plant for processing herbs in Uzbekistan

The Hong Kong-based company Yilin Bagu Group intends to build a plant for research and processing of medicinal plants in the Uzbek city of Nukus, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.

A line of pharmaceuticals will be produced on its basis.

It is planned that the plant will mainly use ferula as a raw material, creating a line of pharmaceuticals on its basis.

A meeting with representatives of the Yilin Bagu Group was held at Uzbekistan’s Investment Promotion Agency.

Representatives of the company were told about the opportunities for investors offered by Uzbekistan in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.

Investors requested detailed information on the benefits provided to them. The issue of exemption from VAT on goods imported into the country for the construction and equipment of the designed plant was also discussed.

Moreover, preparations are underway for the opening of the Sino-Uzbek Center for Traditional Medicine, which was created in conjuction with Yilin Bagu Group. About $5 million has already been invested in the project, with particular attention paid to equipping the center with the most advanced medical equipment.

Agency specialists offered Chinese investors assistance in identifying the CNFEA-Codes (Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity) of imported equipment for distribution to the State Customs Committee and the State Tax Committee, where they will be matched with lists of preferential goods.
