Japan to help Uzbekistan in creation of high-tech park

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Mayor of the Japanese city of Nagoya Takashi Kawamura, Trend reports citing the president’s press service.

The meeting discussed the possibility of establishing close business ties in the automotive industry, urban planning, the textile industry, high technology and innovation, tourism, and in other areas.

To implement promising programs and projects, the parties agreed to develop an appropriate roadmap.

It was noted that the upcoming signing of the Agreement of Cooperation between the cities of Tashkent and Nagoya, as well as the joint implementation of the project to create a High-Tech Park in the capital of Uzbekistan, will undoubtedly serve to further deepen the long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.

The head of state noted the consistent development of Uzbek-Japanese relations of friendship and strategic partnership, the expansion of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, banking, financial, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian fields.

The visit of the Japanese delegation takes place on the eve of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Japan.

Nagoya is one of the largest industrial and scientific centers in Japan, interaction with which opens up broad prospects for the mutually beneficial implementation of various programs and projects.
