In 2019, it was planned to master $2.658 billion from all sources of financing in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, including $1.79 billion of foreign direct investment, Trend reports citing the press service of the Tashkent administration.
From January to November 2019, $2.454 billion was disbursed, including $1.619 billion of foreign investment.
The figures were disclosed at a meeting of Tashkent administration with representatives of more than 50 Chinese companies and investors in the field of construction, trade, high technology, culture and tourism visiting Uzbekistan.
Administration officials told the Chinese side about ten projects that are planned to be implemented as part of the Business city project. The Chinese side showed great interest in the projects on construction, information and communication technologies and in the fields of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, culture and the arts.
At the meeting, the parties also discussed other initiatives aimed at strengthening and developing cooperation in these areas.
