Leading Iranian companies produced 31.5 million tons of iron ore concentrate from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Trend reports referring to the website of the Iran Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
The production of Iranian companies increased by four percent from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year. Some 30.4 million tons were produced in the same period of last Iranian year.
Gol-E-Gohar Iron Ore Company produced 10.7 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 6.4 million tons, Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company – 3.4 million tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company – 3.3 million tons, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company - 2.9 million tons.
Opal Persian Sangan Industrial & Mining Company produced over 2 million tons of iron ore concentrate, National Industrial and Mining Development Company (NIMID) - 1.5 million tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 693,000 tons, Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex - 330,000 tons.
Five leading mining companies produced over 3 million tons of iron ore gravels from March 21 through November 21, which is 39 less compared to the same period of last Iranian year (4.9 million tons).
Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company produced 1.5 million tons of iron ore gravels, Iranian Central Plateau Iron Ore Mines Complex – 584,000 tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company - 385,000 tons, Sangan Iron Ore Complex – 247,400 tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 314,000 tons.
Iran's six leading iron ore pellet manufacturers (Chadormalu, Gol-E-Gohar, Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Opal Persian Sangan Industrial & Mining Company, Sangan Steel Mining Company, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company) produced over 18 million tons of iron ore pellets from March 21 through November 21 of this Iranian year, which is 0.3 percent more compared to the same period of last Iranian year (over 18 million tons).
