In mid-December, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law “On the State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2020,” Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
In the law, the president approved the leveling of equalizing inter-budget transfers allocated from the republican budget to the local budgets of the regions for 2020. The list of recipients of grants includes 9 regions.
Namangan region will receive the largest support - $103.1 million and is followed by Surkhandarya ($88.5 million) and Kashkadarya ($82.8 million) regions.
The smallest amount will be allocated to Ferghana ($37.1 million), Syrdarya ($36.2 million), and Samarkand ($33.9 million).
Expenses do not exceed revenues only in the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Navoi and Tashkent regions and in the city of Tashkent.
