Azerbaijani winery reveals plans for near future

The biggest producer of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan, the Jalilabad-2 winery, located in the Jalilabad district of the country, plans to launch two production lines this year, a source at the winery told Trend.

The development of a new line of wine and cognac products continues, according to the source.

“There are plans to complete the development of two lines in the first half of this year,” the source noted. “About 20,000 bottles of wine are produced daily at the plant. This year, this indicator is expected to grow to 23,000-25,000 bottles daily. At the same time, it is planned to increase the production of cognac and cognac alcohol. In this regard, it is planned to launch a new line of cognac products.”

The source added that the company is increasing the export of alcoholic beverages.

“This year, the plant plans to export alcohol to Russia and a number of CIS countries,” the source said.

The company produced more than 170,000 deciliters of wine in 2019, which is 17 percent more than in 2018.

As reported, over 40 percent of products were exported.

The plant’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The company uses Italian and Bulgarian equipment.
