Georgia exported 17,625 tons of ferroalloys totaling $18.5 million to Turkey in 2019, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
On an annualized basis, Georgia reduced the export of ferroalloys by 9,613 tons. Over the 2018 year, 27,238 tons of ferroalloys totaling $32.5 million were exported from Georgia to Turkey.
Meanwhile, Georgia exported 76,675 tons of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel worth $28.9 million to Turkey in 2019.
Georgia increased the export of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel. Over the 2018, 47,534 tons of steel semi-finished products totaling $22.5 million were exported from Georgia to Turkey.
Turkey ranks first in Georgia’s commodity circulation.
In 2019, total imports to Georgia from Turkey amounted to $1.6 billion. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $202.3 million to Turkey.
The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey from January to November 2019 exceeded $1.8 billion, which is 14.1 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
In 2019, the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $12.8 billion, 2.7 percent higher year-on-year.
The exports equaled $3.7 billion (12.4 percent higher), while the imports stood at $9.1 billion (0.8 percent lower).
