Representatives of major investment corporations, banks, as well as energy and technology companies from the US, China, Israel and India, which are members of the Asia Society global non-profit organization, will be in Tashkent from March 21 - 25, 2020, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The agreement on the organization of this visit was reached during a meeting of President and CEO of the Asia Society Josette Sheeran with Uzbek Ambassador to the United States Javlon Vahobov.

The purpose of the representative delegation's visit will be to study large-scale reforms and foreign policy priorities of Uzbekistan and the conditions created for foreign investors in the country. Within the trip, the delegation will also visit Turkey.

The Asia Society is a nonprofit organization founded in 1956 by John Rockefeller III. The main goal of the organization is to disseminate information about Asia, the role of the countries of the region in the system of international relations, their economic opportunities, culture and art through a wide range of research and academic programs.

The Society has several centers in the United States (Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington and New York) and outside the United States (Hong Kong, Manila, Mumbai, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney and Zurich).

The Asia Society's Board of Directors and Board of Trustees include owners of major corporations, banks, government members and royal families.
