Export of Iranian goods to neighboring countries up

The export of non-oil products by Iran to neighboring countries increased by six percent this Iranian year (began on March 21, 2019) compared to the previous year, Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade and Chairman of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization Hamid Zadbum said.

“Presently, 60 percent of Iran’s non-oil products are exported to the markets of neighboring countries,” Zadbum added, Trend reports referring to the Young Journalists Club.

The deputy minister noted that Iran may double export of non-oil products in two years (till March 21, 2022).

“Besides 15 neighboring countries, Iran also exports the products to Africa and Asian countrie including India, China, Indonesia and Vietnam,” the deputy minister said.

Zadbum added that Iran does not intend to export the products to the European countries and there is no barrier for exporters to export goods to the preferable markets.

Iran's trade turnover exceeded $72 billion during first 10 months of this Iranian year. During the reporting period, Iran exported over 115 million tons of non-oil products worth more than $35.5 billion and imported 28.6 million tons of products worth more than $36 billion.
