EDB, Kazakh Samruk-Kazyna Invest agree on joint projects

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and Kazakhstan’s Samruk-Kazyna Invest company signed a memorandum for cooperation to implement projects in Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to the press office of EDB.

The agreement provides for exchange of information on prospective investments of analytical, statistical, legal content, on practices of projects’ development and implementation and on cooperation with international development institutes.

Deputy Chairman of the EDB Management Board Amangeldy Issenov said that the organization of joint expert, information, analytical and research work is planned for practical use of its results in development of investment projects.

General Director of Samruk-Kazyna Invest Nurzhan Abdymomunov said that the company is also ready to consider further joint work on the projects and is hoping for long-term fruitful cooperation with EDB.

The Eurasian Development Bank is an international financial institution established to promote economic growth in its member states, extend trade and economic ties among them, and support integration in Eurasia through investment. The Bank was founded by an international treaty – the Agreement Establishing the Eurasian Development Bank- signed by the authorized representatives of the Governments of the Russia and Kazakhstan.

Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP is an investment company, which deals with direct financing of investment projects directed at creating competitive goods and services with the purpose of qualitative increase of local content.
