President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Director General of the Russian KAMAZ company Sergey Kogogin, Trend reports referring to the Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary state news agency.
The sides discussed the possibility of implementing joint investment projects. Kogogin voiced a number of proposals taking into account the priorities of Turkmenistan’s state development.
The president expressed Turkmenistan’s interest in further supply of high-qualitative KAMAZ trucks. It was noted that in the framework of the bilateral cooperation of the two countries, thousands of KAMAZ trucks have been supplied to Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan is one of the biggest and stable markets for the sale of KAMAZ trucks.
More than 9,000 KAMAZ trucks and special vehicles were supplied to Turkmenistan in 2008-2018. Recentlty, a new contract was signed for the supply of 2,000 more KAMAZ vehicles.
KAMAZ is widely used in various sectors of the local economy and has its dealer network in Turkmenistan, including Ashgabat, Balkanabat, Mary and Turkmenabat cities.
