Russia's Bashkortostan to expand partnership with Uzbekistan in agricultural sector

Representatives of Russia's Bashkortostan (Bashkiria) and Uzbekistan signed a deal worth $1.8 million, during the visit of the Bashkir delegation to Uzbekistan on February 11-12, 2020, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

A delegation of the State Committee on Trade and Consumer Protection of Bashkortostan, headed by Alexei Gusev, visited Samarkand district in order receive additional information on management systems, as well as experience in creating and developing clusters.

The guests were met at Samarkand International Airport by Sh. Yuldashev, head of the territorial department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the visit, the delegation learned about the activities of industrial enterprises of Samarkand region, intensive orchards and fruit and vegetable processing enterprises.

The delegation of Bashkortostan also visited the territorial department of the Samarkand Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They familiarized themselves with the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, considered the issues of developing bilateral cooperation and discussed plans for further cooperation.

During the meeting, between "Siob Shavkat Orzu" farm (Uzbekistan) and "Nutrition Center" LLC (Bashkiria) an agreement on supply of dried fruits worth $1.8 million was signed at the Samarkand region Chamber of Commerce and Industry territorial administration.

FH "Siob Shavkat Orzu" is engaged in processing of agricultural products. In 2011, broiler chickens were raised, imported equipment was purchased for this purpose and a poultry farm was built which meets European quality standards. For today FH "Sieb Shavkat Orzu" owns and operates one of the most modern complexes on production of dairy products of the highest quality.
