Physical volume index of Kazakhstan’s GDP in 2019 revealed

Physical volume index of Kazakhstan’s GDP amounted to 104.5 percent during 2019 compared to 2018, Trend reports with reference to the data of Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Country’s GDP during 2019 amounted to 68.6 trillion tenge ($181.9 billion), whereas during 2018 it was 61.8 trillion tenge ($163.8 billion).

Some 37.2 percent of the GDP account for manufacturing of goods, 55.4 percent for service production and 7.4 percent accounts for net tax.

In turn, the largest part of the goods manufacturing accounts for industry (27.2 percent). It is followed by construction (5.5 percent) and agriculture, forestry and fisheries (4.5 percent).

GDP in market prices represents the end result of the production activities of resident producers.

Kazakhstan’s GDP growth amounted to 3.6 percent in January 2020 compared to 2.9 percent in January 2019.

Positive dynamics is observed in all basic sectors of the economy: growth in construction amounted to 12.5 percent, in trade to 5.2 percent, in transport to 3.6 percent, in the mining industry, manufacturing sector, including mechanical engineering by 21 percent each, in ferrous metallurgy by 17.5 percent.
