Azerbaijan’s GDP in Jan. 2020 increases compared to Jan. 2019

The gross domestic product in Azerbaijan amounted to over 6.5 billion manat ($3.8 billion) in January 2020, which indicates an increase of 2.4 percent compared to January 2019,Trend reports referring to the country's State Statistical Committee.
Added value in the non-oil sector of the economy increased by 4.9 percent, while in the oil and gas sector this increase was by 0.7 percent.
During the reporting period, about 44 percent of GDP accounted for industry, 10 percent for trade and repair of vehicles, 7 percent for transport and storage, 4.5 percent for construction, 3 percent for agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 2.5 percent for the field of tourist accommodation and catering, 2 percent - for the field of information and communication, while 19 percent accounted for other sectors. In addition, net taxes on goods and imports accounted for 8 percent of GDP.
The volume of GDP per capita for the month amounted to 655.3 manat ($385.4).
