Uzbekistan boosts production of light vehicles

Some 22,000 light vehicles were produced in Uzbekistan in January 2020, Trend reports with the reference to Committee of Statistics of Uzbekistan.
The Committee of Statistics of Uzbekistan presented information on production volumes of certain types of industrial products by large industrial enterprises in January 2020.
In particular, the volume of production of light passenger cars has increased. For January 2019 the production stood at 17,466 cars, while for January 2020 it increased to 22,000 units.
The automobile industry produced 5,962 Nexia cars in January 2020 (a 29 percent increase over the same period in 2019), 5,078 Cobalt cars (47.4 percent), 4,340 Gentra cars (55 percent), 3,989 Damas cars (35.2 percent), 2,320 Spark cars (48.7 percent) and 7,288 Labo cars (47.8 percent).
The production of trucks has decreased. In January 2019, 367 trucks were produced, while in January 2020 the production decreased to 272 trucks.
Production of vehicle engines has increased - from 16,400 engines in Jan. 2019 to 19,800 engines in Jan. 2020.
