Regions leading by investments into Kazakhstan's fixed capital revealed

The value of investments in Kazakhstan’s fixed capital amounted to 686.6 billion tenge ($1.8 billion) in Jan. 2020, which is 3.1 percent more compared to Jan. 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The greatest volume of investments into the country’s fixed capital accounted for Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region, which allocated 348.4 billion tenge ($927.1 million) during the reporting month, showing 8.8-percent growth compared to the same month in 2019.

The second and third place by investments into Kazakhstan’s fixed capital accounted for Almaty city (43.2 billion tenge or $115 million) and West Kazakhstan region (37.6 billion tenge or $100 million), which indicates an increase by 8.8 percent and 22 percent respectively.

In turn, the least value of investments into Kazakhstan’s fixed capital accounted for the country’s Shymkent city, which allocated 4.6 billion tenge ($12.4 million), which is 77.8 percent less than in Jan. 2019.

The largest value of investments during the reporting month accounted for industry. The value of investing into Kazakhstan’s industry amounted to 508.2 billion tenge ($1.3 billion), which is 8.2 percent more than in Jan. 2019.
