Ukrainian, Uzbek textile companies to establish spinning mill in Uzbekistan

Ukrainian and Uzbek textile companies have concluded export contracts worth $3 million with each other, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The Uzbek embassy in Kiev hosted a business forum with the participation of Uzbek and Ukrainian entrepreneurs.

During the event, a number of negotiations in the B2B format were held between Ukrainian and Uzbek companies, which resulted in concluding export contracts worth $3 million.

During the negotiations, issues related to participation in international exhibitions, in particular the participation of Ukrainian companies in the forthcoming Uztextile Expo 2020 and CAITME 2020 exhibitions to be held in Tashkent from 9 through 12 September 2020.

In addition, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and Ukrainian T-Style company signed an agreement to establish a spinning plant in Uzbekistan with a total cost of $5 million.

According to the results of 2019, exports of textile products (yarn, fabrics and knitted fabrics, sewing and hosiery) to the Ukrainian market amounted to $30 million, and in January 2020 - to $3.3 million, the report said.
