Turkmenistan to accelerate transformation of agro-industrial sector
BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 31
It was decided to accelerate the pace of transformation of the agro-industrial sector in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.
The decision was made during a meeting with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev and Minister of Agriculture and Natural Protection Magtymguly Bayramdurdiyev participated in this meeting.
During the meeting, the high-ranking officials also discussed the state of affairs in the agricultural sector, issues of improving soil fertility, rational use of land and water resources, and identified the priority tasks facing the village workers.
Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of rapid implementation of state programs aimed at transforming the agro-industrial sector. This implementation will help to improve the volume of agricultural products grown.
The president also demanded to strengthen control over the progress of these reforms.
Instructions were given for mineral fertilization of the land, for increasing the number of livestock and the volume of manufactured products.
The national holiday of the Turkmen horse was also marked. This year, the international Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding marks10 years old.
